UPBM Programmes
UP BM Programme is developed to assess and improve the 4 language skills of Malay (Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking). This programme will give you the essential Malay skills to tackle daily life conversation and academically. To enhance learning, students are assessed and placed into classes according to their current ability instead of age.
Pelajar Muda Bahasa Melayu (PMBM)
PMBM is a fun and activities based programme specially designed to spark the children’s interest in learning Malay.
Students will get to:
- Enjoy Malay books, songs, television programmes and films
- Make new friends
- Build a strong foundation in this language
In this module, the lessons will particularly focus on building vocabulary on daily life, constructing a sentence and learning basic grammar.
Kunci Asas Bahasa Melayu (KABM)
KABM is designed to help learner with basic foundation in Malay to communicate and write in Malay.
Students will:
- understand the use of basic phrases and expressions
- be able to introduce themselves and answer basic questions
- interact with Malay speaker at a basic level
In this module, the lessons will particularly focus on grammar, constructing a good sentence structure and writing essay.
Kunci Maju Bahasa Melayu (KMBM)
KMBM is uniquely designed for people with fair foundation and understanding in Malay. It is aimed to refine the grammar and enhance their pool of vocabulary.
Students will be able to:
- understand and appreciate Malay in a whole new level
- fluently converse in this language
- present idea in a short and concise manner
In this module, the lessons will particularly focus on comprehension, conversation and idea generating.
Bahasa Melayu Tahap Mara (BMTM)
BMTM is proficiently designed for students with great foundation and understanding in Malay. It will be a discussion and debate based classes that covers the topic of current global issues.
Students will be able to:
- professionally and effectively converse in Malay
- write formal mails or letters
- convey ideas from different standpoint
In this module, the lessons will particularly focus on advanced vocabulary building, formal writing and presentation of ideas.
